B’nai Portland strives to foster an intimate, nourishing and casual ways of connecting with Jewish ritual, learning, celebration, community service, and spirituality. Being unaffiliated enables us to create our own unique style and customs. B’nai Portland embraces interfaith families and those who have converted to Judaism. A formal conversion is welcome but not necessary to join or participate. Rabbi Laura finds it deeply meaningful to study with individuals seeking to convert to Judaism and to meet with those dealing with interfaith questions in their families. B’nai Portland has a liberal stance towards to the inclusion of non-Jewish members of our families in lifecycle events and services.
